That is a great picture. I add my vote to the "sure looks like a cougar to me" column.
C'mon folks the picture is from Idaho! I spent 10 years working wildlife contracts for USFS (and lived in rocky bobcat country another 15) and have seen lots of bobcats - that is NOT a bobcat. Look at the shoulder mass and tail girth! The fur on a cougar is shorter and dense, thus the obvious muscle. In profile the ears aren't really very clear, but are rather small in relation to the rest, consistent with cougar.
Keep that camera out!
