Here is a good photo on this website. You can see the ML hunched over eating and compare that to the ML walking on your yard you can see the simularities in shoulders and body structure. The cat has a little head and little ears compared to the size of its body, just like a mountain lion.

YIKES! I would cry. I am already afraid to go outside in the dark. I have been afraid of one of those MN Timberwolves getting me since I was bitty. Add cougars to the list and I would become a recluse!
Off topic, how much is a game cam? I want to get some for DH.

I'm not sold that it is a Housecat, It looks generally larger and it appears t have short hair, most* (used loosely) Domestic cats that are THAT large are longer furred or extremely exotic looking. If you do discover it to be an abnormally large house cat, I might be willing to make the road trip to come get it! I would love a 20+ lb. Yard Kitty! That would be Neato! My Vote is with Jody, Bobcat!

I'm still waiting to find out about tracks or a better pic. I wonder if the state fish and game people would be interested in getting a copy of that pic, and any others you get? I've called our fish and game people and they're really very helpful when I have questions etc. They may have had other reports in the area that the OP doesn't know about and the pics could help them out.

I sort of have my mind made up about what I 'think' it is, but hey, that's all it is, and we know all about that opinion thing!
