That's kind of how my house cat looks when she has hairballs - only it's usually on my chair

I took pictures of a bobcat and a mountain lion, both profile views as close to the mystery cat as I could find on google images. I scaled both of them to be the same size as the cat in question.

The mountain lion looks ridiculously small, like he is in the land of giants. The bobcat has distinctive pattern. I'm still sticking with housecat.

Wow, what you did with the cats is so neat, and your avatar, I haven't seen one that changes like that, or else I haven't been paying attention

....I am going to have to learn how to do that to mine..........I love it, I would hate to have one of my pets find out THEY aren't being showed off! Now I can show them all off!

Not all bobcats are the same color. Some are lighter with much less niticebable spots, and some are darker with almost a tabby appearance right down to the lighter fur on the belly. There have even been rare instances where they are almost black. I have seen a lot of bobcats, and there are many without the very clear spot markings.

Go back and look at the first two pictures. At best it looks to be 1 and 1/2 times the length of an ordinary house cat (at most), pretty small......I'd say too small for a mt. lion.

I saw a male lion charge a doe while hunting in Wyoming and then had it walk right under my treestand at a distance of about 5 yards. Took a pretty cool series of photos of it as it walked past, still eying the doe out in front of me. The darn thing was HUGE well over 100 pounds and a good 8 or 9 feet long including the tail. Pics not to good but see if this works.

At first it did look a little like a domestic cat but when u actually look at it it looks a lot like a mountain lion. If it is a mountain lion you have to be careful escpecially with animals.

And i wouldn't leave your dogs or cats out during the day unattended either. My cousin has a small horse farm, and she went out one morning with one of her many dogs to do her regular farm chores that she does every morning. She went into her barn and took care of the animals and never heard a thing going on while she was working. So she walked back to the house with her collie and the dog seemed fine acted great, BUT she was standing on the dogs "good" side. When she got to the house she saw the other side of the dog, it was tore up REALLY bad. The skin was hanging off the side of the dog. The dog ended up living...THANK GOD!!! poor doggie, the dog had to wear bandages for months. And the only thing that could have done that was a mountain lion. They are very scary, they have also gotten pics from their game cams too of mountain lions.

Im not trying to scare yo, but i would be careful if i were you!!!
