OMG help me i did a Bo Bo

the egg did hatch and the baby is still up and alive and kickin
Just in case something like this happens again try dropping a little warm water into the crack and make sure to keep the big end up when you do this so the chick doesn't drown. I have opened many eggs to help "shrink wrapped" chicks as I have had lots of trouble keeping humidity right. Most chicks survive that I have opened. I only open an eggs if it has been showing lots of movement for several days starting 2 days before due date or if they pip and don't progress for two or more days. It is usually low humidity causing my problems so dripping the warm water inside helps bring the moisture level up so the chick can unzip.
