Okay, I am guessing the brown one is probably a male and the black is probably a female. I will not *guarantee* that because it appears to be harder using a picture than it is in real life but that's my best guess. Age wise, I'd say 3 to 4 days old in these pictures. Let me know what they turn out to be!

OP: beware an open container of water. Excellent opportunity for a chick to fall in and drown. They are amazingly adept at finding new and novel ways of committing suicide. Drowning is one of their favorites.

They will be smaller if they are bantams...but I bought 2 from TSC an week or so back and they look like your black one.

I think they are even too young for someone to have gotten tired of them.
What I bet happened... TSC usually has a minimum number to purchase. I bet someone bought the minimum, but wasn't "allowed" to take home that many, so they tossed the extras out the car window!

That makes sense....the explanation, not the action.

ETA:Wondering if they 'tossed them out the window',
...or put them in the park to 'live free in the wild'....
....or so someone would pick them up.
