OMG - I got a green one!

Oh, don't your just love the green ones. Congratulations!

I have 5 EE pullets and remember waiting forever for my first colored egg. Four of my girls lay greenish ones, but one of my favorite girls, Brownie lays just a reg pinkish tan.
I love the assortment of colors that your girls lays.....it's so purdy!

I picked my chickens for the same reason.

I reserved three EEs from mypetchicken, can't wait to get them so I can get "eggcited " about the green, blue or pink eggs!

I just found out in the last couple of months what a green egg is and where it comes from and I am still learning all the chicken stuff from BYC... ....so hopefully I will be "you " in a year from now.excited about a green egg....imagine a blue one....woao hooooo...hahahaha

You do need more hens. Why do I need the 23 I have when there's only me and DH? AND, I have a bunch more coming along that will be laying by late spring, plus will be hatching more later for dark egg layers. I need them because I just do...I like to look at the eggs, gather the eggs, hold the eggs, eat the eggs...hey, there are worse hobbies and ways to spend my time, money and energy, right? This is wholesome!

I have two Ameraucanas and one lays green, the other a rosy brown. Now I've got a bee in my bonnet for a blue egg layer!
