Humans can be predators and pests, yes?

So this post goes here!

Some of you may remember my story of "rescuing" four birds from this horrible place last November (here is the thread: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=268325 ) - long story short, this guy was screwing everybody with birds he claimed to be pure but were not, his operation was nasty dirty with sick and injured birds everywhere, lice, worms, you name it. He was in it for the money, mass-producing poor quality birds with no regards to health or genetics, it was sooo sad

After seeing the suffering my birds endured to get healthy (one of them has permanent brain and liver damage from a massive worm infestation), spending hundreds of dollars on vets and meds and hearing how this guy wasn't going to change his ways I called the Minister of Agriculture to lodge a complaint of animal abuse. He got inspected (this was late winter of this year) and yesterday I just heard that he's been liquidating his birds and equipment since last spring - yep, he shut down his business!

OMG!!

If you ever think that ONE person cannot make a difference, you are wrong!!

Never let animal cruelty and abuse go unpunished!!

Congratulations!! I am glad you had the guts to pursue this. not a whole lot of people would have. But animal abuse is animal abuse no matter what type of animal it is and you did an excellent job and the right thing. Canadians Rock!!!

I don,t know anything about being a hero, but every day I have to look at my little guy Phoenix and everything he suffered, he will never be the healthy roo he could have been because of the neglect he suffered as a chick. He would have died if I hadn't taken him in. The guy wanted nothing less than $20 for this naked, worm-ridden baby - not a glint of pity anywhere.

Anyways if you search for threads with the keyword "faith" and me as an author (techodoll), you'll see more of the story.

The heroes are the birds who made it out alive of that stinking place.

Amen.
