OMG I received my BCM's from Bayhorsebonne (gorgeous & big) Have ?

Mine are coming from the state next door.

I believe they went out today, hopefully Priority. I've had some really good luck with Priority mail. We just ordered some of my son's school clothes online (Hot Topic) and we opted for the regular shipping instead of paying $15 for express. They arrived in 2 days. I'm getting so *squeeee* eggcited!!! I haven't hatched an egg in almost 4 months!

Well but for my broody hen who hatched an uno, but that chick lives outside with it's mama. I want to hold and play with the fuzzybutts again!!!

I run my humidity level at 40% during incubation and I don't raise it. Here's why ....as I sit in my home right now the humidity is at 58%, living in Washington state it's already humid enough and with the last couple of days at 70 degrees and raining (not quite as bad as the humidity in the south) the humidity level outside was at 98%, I had to take almost all of the water out of the bator and the humidity is still at 40%. Even during the winter I must keep it low.

Geography plays quite a big part if you ask me.

Good luck on your hatch!

Thanks so much pinkchick! It is so humid here I just can't tell you how bad it is. It has been raining for 4 or 5 days on and off with many thunder storms. I hatched a 100% hatch rate my last batch with humidity at 35-38%, but they were Buff Orpingtons. I have never hatched BCM's. Bayhorsebonne suggests low humidity. I will be setting my eggs very soon. I want to try and weigh them this time and see what that tells me. Does anyone know if you can see through these dark eggs to candle them?

I was able to see through a couple of my darkest Blue Copper eggs this time and they are pretty dark, but it was very difficult. On my hatch of Black Coppers last month I wasn't able to see anything because the eggs were soooo dark.

Thanks pinkchick.....Oh my the way, I LOVE PINK!

So I wonder if it is a waste of time to weigh them if you can't see through them to candle anyway. These guys are really dark. I think I may just set them and forget it.....Oh, and pray the hatching Gods are with me.
