....Is what my mother said as she saw the piles of "X" poo that were left after I moved the tractor from its brief 12 hour sitting.

I'll admit, they do poop a lot. But how bad is it? It's through them like a roller coaster. I can't imagine it being as bad as regular chicken poop is it?

My lawn isn't going to look like a bunch of crop rectangles landed there is it?

Yay! This is what I like to hear! We're using our meaties this year to fertilize behind the barn so we'll have enough good grass for a cow next year. I hope they poop as much as everyone says.

NOW that's funny!! I've never heard that...

It will grow back... in really warm days without rain your lawn may get "burnt" and it may take a while for it to grow back so I would suggest moving them a few times a day if you can.

Lol! Well, when we got the place last year it hadn't been taken care of for at least 10 years. The house was occupied, but the barn and the land were totally neglected. The field was all weeds and nettles. We spread some minerals on the field, hoping that the good grass would take over. Although it look worlds better than it did last summer, we still have a long way to go to support a beef cow. It was suggested that since we wanted to get chickens anyway, put them out in the field to fertilize. Sounded good! So, hopefully, we can find a couple lambs to keep grass from getting too high and the chickens will fertilize. So next year our cow, Chuck Jones, will have nice grass to eat.

So crazy as it sounds, I want them to have a Defecation Celebration!

Yes, you will have a TON of green rectangles. They poo so much that if you DON'T move it often enough, it will actually kill the grass. Haha, my yard is covered with the rectangles. I should post a pic of that.
