OMG my poor babies....HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!! UPDATE at end of thread!!!

Thank you.

I looked over Mable and I dont see any injuries- just her left foot seems to really hurt her- she limps. She can only stand for a short period of time and then she lays down and seems lethargic.

Annie has a small hole near where her taill (?) attaches to her body. It has a small bone protruding- when you lift up her tail i goes back inside. I cleaned it with betadine, and tried to dress it but she just picked it off. SHe is walking around and eating & drinking and seems full of energy. I hope she makes it....

clean and treat with ointment as others suggested..
diluted betadine is a good antiseptic cleaner..

you might need to actually wrap a stretchy bandage around her, with extra non sticky gauze bandage over the area..Walmart has it..
change bandage daily and check for swelling, heat or puss..any sign of infection.then you'll need a systemic antibiotic.
give the chick some cooked egg.

as to Mable (limping hen)..give electrolytes in water..let rest on soft clean bedding with food and water close by..give some cooked egg.
give the aspirin.,..PLAIN ASPIRIN..NO substitute..1..81mg crushed into 1 quart of drinking water, or give some by drops on beak.
commercial electrolytes are preferred..but in a pinch you can use diluted Pediolyte.
keep eye on foot and leg for any swelling..

UPDATE:

Well Mables leg was only sprained and she was feeling alot better the next day.

Annies wound was cleaned, I tried to cover it with no luck.

SHe formed a scab and it is HEALING!!!! No infection, no illness...NO antibiotics given!!!!!

I should say that I am not a big fan of antibiotics at all- only for extreme circumstances. Even with Annies wound I decided to wait to see how she was doing before jumping right on the antibiotic wagon.....And it worked.
