It's beautiful! Congratulations! We got our first egg early only because a friend gave me an 18 mo. Old to add to my flock of pulleys. Our first egg turned into a family celebration proving, as my husband pointed out, that we have turned into chicken dorks! Yea for chicken dorks! (it also led to THE TALK with my seven year old who wanted to know how mommy was so sure there was no baby chick in that egg. Wasnt prepared for that conversation yet. Who knew an egg could cause all that!)

We all get excited like that, I must say a lot of work goes into a chicken before they start to lay. Its kind of a reward for our hard work. Congrats hope you get lots of eggs.

Congrats on the perfect egg! I'm still waiting for my first egg and my oldest 3 will be 20 weeks old this Wednsday. Your hen laid a very nice egg and I hope the rest will follow in her footsteps real soon!

Beautiful egg - and SO exciting. My girls are 22 1/2 weeks - and nothing so far. I think my family and friends are all tired of hearing me wonder about when I'll get that first egg. We'll do some major celebrating when it finally happens.
