Haha Congratulations!! The first egg is always SO SO Exciting! i remember my first one I was so happy that I ate it right away! hahaha what's even better is when you start raising a breed that lays cool colors like Marans and Easter Eggers. and you see them for the first time!

I never understood the different colors. dose it have to do with diet? breed? do they taste any different>

I never (knowingly) at any eggs other then the store bought white. So I can say while im Excited to receive my first Eggs (to eat) from my Momma. and eventuly the chicks. I"m kinda anxous to eat the egg.

I Just know I'll be super anxious if i know they are fertile.

I will want to hatch them all instead of eat them LOL!! gonna take A LOT of restraint!, I know I'll be wanting to hatch some.. as well as sell some eggs so others can hatch out baby's
