OMG the cutest! Did not know chickens yawn

I am in the RN program and I have my clinical on Fridays. I have to drive 1.5 hours to get there, work 12 hours, then drive 1.5 hours home. So I do not see my girls all day long. I always do a check on them when I get home late, around 930pm. I peaked my head in and said, "Hey there pretty girls!". They all looked at me and two of them yawned! I did not know chickens yawn! It was the cutest! lol

It is cute to see them yawn. One of my chicks who is a Sultan cockerel tends to prep his tiny crow before he actually does it, so it looks like he yawns 3 or 4 times before the actual crow comes out.
