How on Earth did you end up with such a variety of colors?!?! When I see that I miss raising piggies, but was glad not to have them this winter.100% agree with this.. First it's chickens, Then ducks,
then turkeys and guineas, pheasants and geese. Currently looking for some emu chicks now..![]()
Pigs are especially dangerous.. 2 might turn into 14![]()
I made that mistake thinking I'd just get 2 or 3, had to buy six at a time, then read that most people lose some, so I bought 6 more, by the time they were ready to go outside, I had 12 happy healthy sexlinks..lol.. they are 3 y.o now, I've hatched 6 more and inherited. Lost a couple of the girls and had to say good bye to the roo.. so now a total of 17.. and I've purchased a 24 count incubator.I just came inside fro working on my third coop extension project. A few years ago I thought I’d get 2-3 chicks for the eggs. I got 6 in case some died (they didn’t) I now have 18 hens, 1 roo, 4 chicks in my bathroom and 3 more due on Friday, and I keep looking at the baby ducks at the feed store. Pinterest has some great duck pond ideas.....
lots of conflicting thoughts now!!!
They can be a hand full for sure, especially in the winter..How on Earth did you end up with such a variety of colors?!?! When I see that I miss raising piggies, but was glad not to have them this winter.
Oh my gosh, they're so cute. I got so excited when we had some little white ones come out with black spots, haha. That tri-color is awesome. They can be a hand full for sure, especially in the winter..
