That does appear to be it.Thanks for the link.Who would have thought them little suckers were such ugly babies.I'm gonna change my flea treatment as the one I am using is not working.

I am not convinced that is a flea larva. If you look at the way the mouth is shaped, it makes me believe it is some kind of hook worm. I would take some stool samples into your vet to be absolutely sure and a that picture.

I would add sentinal to the flea control efforts. It sterilizes the adult flea so they can't make any more of the ugly little buggars. The frontline kills the adults. I think the combined effort over a couple of month ought to do it. We keep our dog on sentinal year round (its also heartworm preventitive) and we never see fleas.. and I think thats saying something in alabama.

I used Frontline for years and it did an awesome job killing fleas until this past summer. My Chesapeake is allergic to flea bites and will get huge running sores and lose her hair if she gets bites, so I HAVE to have something that works! I had to change over to a new flea control that comes in a big tablet form (sorry can't remember the name right now, I think it starts with a C). You feed your dog, then give them the tablet, they eat it like a treat. In 3 hours every flea is DEAD. It does work and Delta doesnt have fleas.

What a cool pic! I want to get a microscope for home! That would be so fun! I'm no expert, but judging by the link provided, it does look like flea larvae. BTW, fleas transmit tapeworms (when ingested by the dog) so if you have a bad flea problem, might be a good idea to worm them when you get your flea problem under control. Good luck!

Treat for fleas and worms now and again soon....you have to get it under control first.

I need a microscope. Gross but kinda cool...
