In case you cant tell Im SO HAPPYYYY!!!!

Yesterday my scoie eggs were supposed to hatch under mama. But they havent yet. SO I went to a friends house.


Well I get a call this morning that I have two ducklings and some pips! And I was like WAIT?! NO WAY! And she told me how she had to go in there and help one out of the egg and I was like o.0 NOOOOO ! DONT DISTURB MAMA!


ANd then she made the surprise ----




THE EGGS HATCHING ARE THE ONES IN MY INCUBATOR!!!!

This is my first ever successful hatch! Im nto sure if they are the swede mix eggs or some o fmy eggs but ill know as soon as I get home!! My mom is on her way to pick me up, and ill have pictures as soon as I get home!!!



************** Here they are! The three black and white I think are from my magpie eggs, and then the two silverish bluish ones are from Sebrightmom!!

I have four out -

Two are dry and fluffy, both black and yellow

two are in the bator , still wet - one black and yellow and one silver/blue

and then I have two pips!!!


One though seems to have an enlarged abdomen and the yolk sac still attatched.

My ducklings are comming out sticky - Does this mean I need to raise the humidity? WHat do I need to do?

Coming out sticky usually means the humidy was already to high... they may need help with hatching if they get glued in to the egg- In the past with sticky ducklings I have used wet cotton buds to try try and release them from the eggs. But opening and closing the incubator too much too help them can further mess up the humidity..

Ive got one right now that is just sitting there in the egg. Like I helped some by peeling some of the egg off, and it acts likt it wants to get out but it cant - it peeps at me though. Should I go ahead and help it the rest of the way? Its been like this for a few hours.
