Omlet auto door issues?

Anyone having issues with their Omlet door? A few people today have said their doors are having trouble communicating with the Omlet server. I worked on mine for over an hour and it just won’t connect. I did five factory resets, reinstalled the app twice and rebooted both my phone and WiFi. With the upcoming cold snap I really hate the thought of having to manually open and close the coop. Defeats the purpose.

hi! yes! mine was saying it wasn't online all day. i tried to reconnect it to the wifi but it just stayed saying it was waiting to connect to the server (something like that) it also says it's powered through the mains, when i use batteries.
it did close when it was supposed to (opened this morning too) so i'll work on it tomorrow.

I've heard so many people are having issues with the wifi version! Do you really only have the app to control it? I'd consider sending it back if you're still in the 1-year return window and getting the basic model. What a complete fail from Omlet.
i can control mine from the box on the coop. this is the first problem i have had at all, really. i think i got it in july? it would be nice if they fixed the problem though. it must be a server issue?

Does it still have the light sensor and option to program open/close from the box? Even so, I get you paid for the wifi feature and want that to work!

yes. i can do everything i can do on the app on the box as well. i just have to go out there to do it.
i'll see if it's still the same tomorrow and i'll contact them. my guess is it's the weekend and either nobody has noticed yet, or they don't have anybody in until monday to fix it. haha! that's my guess because that's what it would be like here in ireland 😂

Yep. Mine is still waiting to connect to the server. I am plugged into electric. It’s supposed to close shortly. We’ll see what happens.

It’s so nice to be able to remotely control the door. I have cameras so before I go out to the coop to clean every afternoon I check to make sure they’re all in the run and I close the door so I can clean in peace. Otherwise, they hear me coming and run into the coop to greet me. What is frustrating is when something like this occurs you have to troubleshoot a bunch of things and you’re wondering if it’s your internet, a problem with the app, a malfunction in the device or an issue on Omlet’s end.

Happy to report that the light came on and the door closed on its own, per schedule. At least I don’t have to go out in the bitter cold and wind.
