mine is!Is your previously programmed door functioning as scheduled in spite of the connection problems?
i do really like the omlet. i needed a door that would open horizontally and i really liked the idea of being able to use my phone to change things without having to go out there. but it's also good that i can use the box on the coop as a backup.I figured it would be, just wanted to be sure. A lot of people seem hesitant about using this tech but it has been beneficial to me to have this functionality. I didn't pick the Omlet brand but was intrigued by the discussion here.
Everything seems to be in working order. I suspect the malfunctions had something to do with the app update, or that the update was a result of the company having issues with the app. No way to tell. They don’t seem to release any kind of info to the public. Is your previously programmed door functioning as scheduled in spite of the connection problems?
I wanted an integrated camera, too. Unfortunately, the viewing angle is not adjustable and my coop is 2' off the ground so I can't see as much as I'd hoped.i do really like the omlet. i needed a door that would open horizontally and i really liked the idea of being able to use my phone to change things without having to go out there. but it's also good that i can use the box on the coop as a backup.
we already had ring cameras around before the chickens came, so we just added another one in the chicken run. having them all on the same app is really handy.I wanted an integrated camera, too. Mine came with a funny little remote control, too. I find it comforting that I can leave it available for the chicken sitter when we travel just in case they need to open or close the door. I don't want them to have any need to enter the run and risk letting chickens out.
