Omlet auto door issues?

I figured it would be, just wanted to be sure. A lot of people seem hesitant about using this tech but it has been beneficial to me to have this functionality. I didn't pick the Omlet brand but was intrigued by the discussion here.
i do really like the omlet. i needed a door that would open horizontally and i really liked the idea of being able to use my phone to change things without having to go out there. but it's also good that i can use the box on the coop as a backup.

Is your previously programmed door functioning as scheduled in spite of the connection problems?
Everything seems to be in working order. I suspect the malfunctions had something to do with the app update, or that the update was a result of the company having issues with the app. No way to tell. They don’t seem to release any kind of info to the public.

I wanted an integrated camera, too. Unfortunately, the viewing angle is not adjustable and my coop is 2' off the ground so I can't see as much as I'd hoped.
Mine came with a funny little remote control, too. I find it comforting that I can leave it available for the chicken sitter when we travel just in case they need to open or close the door. I don't want them to have any need to enter the run and risk letting chickens out.

we already had ring cameras around before the chickens came, so we just added another one in the chicken run. having them all on the same app is really handy.
i love it because i have it pointed at an angle where i can see if the door is opened or closed, i can see if the feeder opened (i'm using a cat feeder with a timer because we had a little field mouse i was trying to deter) and the waterer. it also gets the run door in so if there's any movement going on at night (even a little field mouse) i can catch it.
my husband thinks the chickens are spoiled, but it's really me that's the spoiled one 😉

oh. and i can also talk through the camera so sometimes when they're loud, i'll go on and say "shhhh. be quiet in there please." and i think they are so confused that it actually works.
for a little while anyway 😂

Mine has predator startle alarm so it makes a noise if there is movement nearby during the closed hours. I set it off accidentally playing with the app one day (because you can activate it in the app, too) and the hens stood, frozen, looking at it and then had a little convo with each other before resuming activities. I think it works? 😂 The majority of alarms are probably for casually passing rabbits and deer but as long as it isn't too obnoxious, I won't disable it because it might be helpful at some point.

the ring camera has a siren. i think i have to manually turn it on? i don't know if you can make it automatic or not. i was afraid to try it in case it scared the chickens. we have another camera on the building beside their run, though. that one has motion lights, and i have used that siren before. it's not right up in their enclosed space though. and it's not really as loud as i thought it would be. did what i wanted it to, though.
