On day 20 almost 21 of my first hatch

Have you candled? That does sound concerning. If you do not have anymore hatch you will want to get a chick for your little guy. If you raise her by herself she may be very loud and very needy of you.

I candled them last night and saw no movement and heard nothing! I am not sure what I did wrong. I left them in there and we will open to see where they where developmentally tonight. I picked up 4 baby silkie chicks to keep "scotchie" company! They were 3 days old so pretty close.

Silkies are awesome. Very friendly and sweet. My favorite breed.

I'm sorry your hatch did not go as planned. We all have issues in the beginning. There is a learning curve for sure. When you eggtopsy let us know what you find. Also remind us what style incubator, fan or no fan, what your humidity was days 1-17 and at lockdown, how many thermometers you used, and if you calibrated them. Don't give up. This can be overcome!

I did a eggtopsy and 2 were fully formed 2 stopped growing around 12-14 days and the rest were not fertilized. I have a brinsea Eco and it doesn't have a humidity sensor. Temps were around 100 the whole time. If I had to guess I would say it was humidity. So I will have to run a test with my sensor in there.

How did your air cells look on days 7,14, and lockdown? There is a really good diagram on this site that will help you decide if you need to add or remove water. Did you make it a habit to draw your air cells on your eggs?
