I have only had an egg in my bra on hatching day when power went out and the eggs were already pipped. Only one hatched, the second one died. It was hard to maintain temp and humidity. I put on my winter coat and hat and layers to make me sweat and I sat in the car with top temperature blasting. It was hard. I can’t imagine doing this from day one. I would worry about breaking the eggs.
that one which hatched turned out to be a rooster. I raised him on my shoulder and it went to his head. When he matured he kept challenging me and attacked everyone that came near him. He was unsafe around people and he went to the pot.

Oh, I'm sorry for your loss :(

I live in a high humidity tropical area so I'm hoping that will make the difference. According to my hygrometer, humidity fluctuates between 40 and 60%, and I will absolutely be adding warm wet rice filled socks when lockdown comes, to boost humidity and warmth. I'm also praying this will be a girl and that, combined with being a silkie, will make her more docile...but for whatever reason I keep thinking of it as a 'he'. Lol.
