UPDATE!!!!
I FULLY EXPECT THAT WE WILL HAVE BABIES TOMORROW!!!
Chicken Egg 1 quit on me, unknown causes. Chicken Egg 2 is right on track and I've added two more.
Now for the quail!!!
All three remaining babies are alive and kicking!!!
One I believe may be malpositioned, so I'm praying the little guy or girl doesn't have an issue hatching. He seems to be more towards the pointy end of the egg. Today being day 15 though he could still come around.
Another baby seems both malpositioned and slightly smaller. I'm not super worried though, he's probably just a day or so behind in development. Egg is being religiously kept pointy end down.
AND!!! The moment we've all been waiting for!!!
Quail Egg 1 is pressing up against the air cell, kicking against it! He fills the entire egg now and I can see the membrane wiggle! I fully expect an internal pip tonight or tomorrow at latest. Soooooooo excited! W00t!!
Also, re: my other thread, my asshat rooster Nugget has been less of an asshat since I've been spritzing him with a water bottle every time he's crowed. He's settled down considerably and now mostly just chittered all day long... I know it will take several days of consistency to get him to stop crowing up a storm every morning, but hey, he's learning! I always knew my boy was smart!
