I moved my 6 week old chicks in with my 3 2 year old hens one week ago. One of the little girls made it over the 4ft chicken wire separating them and was pecked to death by the flock. Now I am at a loss at for what to do with the one remaining chick. Will she be okay alone and separate?

I would keep her separate but visible to the others until she is bigger and they show signs of being used to her. Sometimes integration takes a lot of patience and jockeying around. I'll be honest, one of my earliest conversations here was on integrating a rehomed hen. We got her in October and it was the following February before I truly felt they could all be together and no one get murdered. I think it's much harder when there's only a few birds. My rehomer was going in with 3 who grew up together. When there are more, it seems there is less of a chance that one poor bird is picked on. You might consider trying to add one or two other juveniles near the little one's age. That way she's not alone and the integration might be easier than trying to introduce a single young one to the others. Several of the hatcheries will sell one or two juveniles instead of figuring a huge minimum order. Good luck and be patient!
