One duck left

We had 2 Pekin ducks; a male and a female. Something got the male. It broke its neck and pulled feathers off his neck. The female ran to my son's house and got under their porch. Should we get another male duck?

Do you have a way to keep the safe? locked up at night to protect from predators?
If you can why not at least 2 more females and 1 drake or all females that way if you decide to get another drake he can spread his loving out more instead of using it up on 1 female which can be very hard on 1.

We do have a large enclosure that is closed on the top and sides. Thank you for your response. I hate to sound stupid, but do females have to have a drake to lay eggs?

females do not normally fight, but they will mount eachother. I have both hens and drakes

A drake is not necessary for the duck hens to lay eggs just as a rooster is not necessary for egg production.
