How entirely precious. I too, hatched out only 1 from 10 eggs. I found white call ducks here on BYC and now I have "Cinnamon" & "Sugar". Cinnamon is a saxony and is the larger duck in the photo. They are a happy pair and love being together.

It was HERE that I found their names. We posted pics of Cinnamon and everyone helped come up with Sugar. So great this board is. I don't know where I would be without it.

wow they grow so fast.

Hard to believe they are the same ducklings. so cute!!

i attempted my first duck eggs last month.
i started with 6 shipped eggs,they all made it to lockdown but somewhere they died.2 of them internally pipped and only one hatched.i think it was my humidity and i am reading more and learning more.
with the one duckling tho,should i get another?.
I am happy with one but it may not be.it is a runner.i have chicks and poults to keep it company.

Get another one, the ducks depressed if live alone

they are 8 weeks old today.
the "male" mallard from the feed store looks like a female to me unless they get there colors later?

when can i sex the runner.it doesn't have any curled feathers yet.it talks all the time but it doesn't quack like the mallard.it sounds like a hoarse peep.
