Well a Pekin would make Nice meal but I don't think a predator is choosy about the breed of duck just so long as he gets one.I agree. Many hungry critters would especially love *Peking Duck* at this time of year.

I'm very thankful that in close to 10yrs I haven't lost any of my ducks or geese to predators, I've lost some chickens that were free ranging and didn't come home, [silent preds.]My boyfriend said the ducks are like Hershey's Kisses sitting in the yard to predators. You're right. A fella at our TSC said he saw a hawk take a large rooster once. Hawks & owls get tired of all that work for a tiny field mouse.
