one egg but no more?

Hello we recently purchased 5 pullets, 1 of which was sadly attacked by the pesky neighbourhood peacocks RIP nugget.
anyway, 1 of them laid its first egg last thursday but hasn't laid one since? is this normal? it was like a teaser haha

Yes they take a month or more before they really regularly lay

thanks. we are all so impatient haha. looks like another one will start laying soon as she has been squatting when we go near her.

Lol yeah i have felt the same when each one of my girls started. I swear once they started squating it took weejs until the egg showed up

good news! she laid her second egg today and one of the other girls laid her first
