Hi all. So this is my first time hatching eggs I have put 7 eggs in the incubator. I am on day 9. I have candled them today for the first time. I had one empty egg and 5 eggs which I can see little chicks moving inside. So excited. I do however have one eggs I'm not sure about. It looks empty at the bottom and with a red ring defining the 2 sections if that makes sence. I cannt see anything moving in this one. Could it be dead and if so have I done something wrong. Any advise I'd be greatful Sophie😊

give a blood ring to day 5. Sometimes it is just a developing normal egg. Don't pull too soon.

I have hatched forever, and even my last hatch I set aside 2 eggs inside my incubator to check again at day five. But also this is why they say don't even candle till day 7 especially if you are new to this.

Thankyou i'm on day 9 I don't feel like I'm qualified to remove an egg yet haha so I'll just wait and see

most likely a blood ring from your description so keep it in there and candle it a day later and a day more if you want to be sure but the ring will darken and nothing else will change if it did die. Don't keep it in there till the end if it is a blood ring as it will start spreading bacteria at some point

I've removed it today egg looked totally empty more or less apart from a black mark but no movement at all and no viens anymore all gathered at the bottom thanks all
