one eye closed

one of my rhode island red hens has one eye constantly closed and the other open. Shes has just started laying.
There is no fluid leaking from the closed eye and it does not appear swollen. Is this something I should be concerned about?

She may just have an eye infection. You can get stuff for conjunctivitus from the Vet at a reasonable price. I do hope she gets better soon. Hens use their eyes differently one is used for finding food and the other to guard from preditors. So really she could do with both eyes working well. Also it may be causeing her a lot of pain if it is infected - better to get it sorted for her. She will lay better if she feels well!
