OurDogChicken
In the Brooder
Can anyone suggest ANYTHING please?
Our hen is about 1 1/2 years old and is part of a 6-chicken flock. Just yesterday, we noticed that her left eye is shut and her head is tilted to the left, making it look like she is keeping her right eye up to be able to see as much as she can all around her.
This appears to throw her balance off at times. She is eating, pooping, and a bit of scratching, but cannot get up the ramp to the coop/roost.
We kept her separated overnight from the other chickens. The others are fine (for now) and a couple of them are pecking the one-eye-open hen for a few seconds here and there, but not much.
ANY ideas on what might be wrong and how to proceed? We do not have an avian vet near us.
Thank you for any and all help.
