One of my hens keeps laying soft shelled eggs. She gets free choice grit and calcium in their feeder 3 times a week. What can I do? Here is a picture of her

She is obviously not getting enough calcium. I recommend keeping grit and oyster shell in separate containers, kept available at all times. Don't mix them. Grit is required for digestion as they have no teeth. Calcium is required for healthy, firm shells. They will eat what their bodies tell them they require, they will not overdose. Good luck!

Try hatching the sheep eggs! Great for Easter. Lol jk
If separating the shells n grit doesn’t work, layer feed with added calcium may help.
Bear in mind the added calcium in the feed MAY be hard on the kidneys of any non-layers in your flock, including males, retired hens and juveniles too young to lay.
