There is a thread somewhere about calcium intake from threehorses and/or speckledhen perhaps the search function on soft-shelled eggs would help. One recommendation is to crush up a Tums and feed it to the chicken for a calcium boost but making sure that she's also getting vitamin D as well. I think some of the recommendation was for cod liver oil. Maybe your little girl needs a calcium boost and that might help.
I have also read that hens are more likely to be internal layers if they continue to lay soft shelled eggs; hard eggs seem to pass easier through the oviduct.
Not all chickens take readily to the oyster shell. Some owners actually use the powder from the bag and mix it in the food a bit but overdoing the calcium is a possibility.
