One LOUD-MOUTH chicken won't shut up!

Oh my gosh!!! I can relate!!

I have two of those! They NEVER shut up!!! One in particular sits on the roosts in the coop and does the egg call for every hen that walk in there (we have 28 hens

). I think the other hens get irritated with her as they head dunk her in the water dish when she is drinking. It got so bad one day that DH said to get rid of them. I called up Debi (Debiraymond) to see if she'd take them. She said yes, then DH changed his mind.

I swear those birds just want to hear themselves talk. I told DH that they have "diarrhea of the beak"!

My wheaten ameraucanas have just started the noise thing. Hatched the end of February.

I've got one of THOSE kind of hens too.

They do not "settle down" as they get older either. Have fun.

I have some EE's, wyandottes, australorps, and speckled sussex. The two noisy hens are the two wyandottes; the rest are generally very quiet. Interesting. Guess it has more to do with personality than breed.

Thought I would add a good note about the loud mouth. I had a RIR she was the blabber mouth.

One night a coon got in my I thought Coon proof coop. You can not imagine how small a space he squeezed in.

Anyway loud mouth started screeching and I was awakened by her at 1 am. If not for the loud mouth I beleive he would of killed all my chickens.

Sadly see was blinded in this attack and did not make it . I still miss my beautiful red loud loud Cicily.

I have a RIR that is a loud mouth

I normally don't hear the racket going on in the coop, but if I happen to hear it I think there is a BEAR in the coop eating chickens, I run outside every single dern time!

All of my chickens remind me of Rachel Lynde from Anne of Green Gables. I love when they run. They all look like little fat ladies running in dresses.
