One month chick - shaking & stumbling ?

Sorry about your chick. It doesn’t look like AE in the video. Cannyou get some Poultry NutriDrench or Poultry Cell today and give it a few drops daily? Is she eating and drinking? What do you mean about her eye—can you be more specific? Is she a frizzle? I think they can suffer from problems, but I have no experience with them.
She is a frizzle. Her eyes were excessively dilated and would go back down before blinking.
this is not good.. I still have her separated from the others.. she hates it.. she screams if she can’t see me lol I don’t have kids and like feeling needed but I really think my husband will be happy having the chicken in our bed. 😂

And are any of these possible illnesses contagious?? Bc I have several chicks that were hatched with her.
Does she have diarrhea? One of my chickens was shaking, her head started flopping down (looked kind of bent) she couldn't keep her balance, had her pupils dilated and had diarrhea. I told my husband just as soon as I saw her and he suggested maybe she had neocastle (he's not a vet but we had just been reading on diseases that affect chickens; she's newcommer btw) we gave her the triple vaccine and injected her with a wide spectrum antibiotic for three days and kept her in a cage so she wouldn't spend energy moving. As it turned out she started getting better the second day, and by the third she was up and running. We have had freezing temperatures, maybe she has something similar?

Good luck with your chick.

Hi Eden, thank you so much for your response...
what is “the triple vaccine & wide spectrum of antibiotics” ? Like take her to the vet?
I had her separated for like three days.. it was so hard... she is only 4 weeks old.. she was hatched with 10 other chicks. She would scream being alone.. I was like making homemade belly bags 😂 to carry her around the house and be able to get something done... anything, really... yes when she was looking at me, I got it on the second video- her pupils have been dilating and shrinking a second later.. then she would just close them... I had to put her in with her siblings last night... she was acting like she was being tortured if I was out of sight. The whole thing is just hard to watch... she would stumble into her water, getting all wet.☹️Of course she knocked her food over. she was in a small clear bin set up with her own food and water w vitamins... she did eat and it took her awhile to drink by herself.. I was using a straw and putting it over her beak...her poop has been normal... yet she is a bit stinky, for sure. But I stuck her with her siblings last night... she was happy to see everyone... she is still shaking...the bigger roo is picking on her- yet she( could be a he!) they are kind of the same size, but she is hobbling so bad.. that roo is also picking on this really small one that has no feathers on her neck, right now... she is looking better.. we are going to separate the bigger ones from the smaller weaker ones, today for sure
Thank you for reading my ramblings. I truly appreciate. this is the first time hatching. Yes, we are in NY state, freezing over here. But the bullies might go outside a bit early with a heat lamp against the house... it will be warm.. thank you again for reading my rambling on and on.

Hey glad to share experiences and worries, I know how it feels to see a chick or chicken sick :( and not know what to do or how to help.
Well here in Mexico we have a vaccine for farm birds that is common to administer and protects chicks or chickens from Avian colibacilosis, Newcastle and avian Colera, the wide spectrum antibiotic we administered had Oxitetracycline.

I'm happy to report that "Tia" our chicken is still in top shape after what we did, whatever she had she was cured. Yeah I also had to worry with bullying a few weeks ago with some cockrells that were starting to act like horny teenagers, and then also with some new chickens we received (two of them had been bullied so bad that they were missing several feathers). Now they all free range and stopped picking on these two; their new feathers are coming in :D yey!!! Plus they've basically made a chicken spa underneath one of out apple trees, they all come out daily and take their dust baths, they just seem like super happy chickens now :D.
Hehe I like to ramble as well. Anyways let us know how your chick is doing.

I have a silkie who I’m treating with vitamin E and D complex. The liquid form. The kind people here told me to give that to her after I posted a video of her moving her head weird. She would kinda bop it. And if she was stressed, mostly by my EE roo, she would bop more. The vitamins have been helping and she no longer bops. Though the name has stuck. It might be worth a try to give your little chick those vitamins and see if it helps. I know you said she’s getting vitamin water but maybe with the concentrated form you’ll see better results.
I give mine just two drops of each once a day. I had tried the nutridrench and savachick first but those weren’t strong enough. The vitamins I have been giving her for a month and I think the bopping went away two to three weeks in.

I’m glad that she is with others. She might do well with just one or two docile chicks. If you can get Poultry Cell or Poultry Nutridrench to give her a couple of drops daily, the vitamins may help her. Hard to know, but I would certainly give her a chance. If you should lose her one day, it might be good to get a necropsy by the state vet to get a diagnosis. If it is AE virus, the survivors can get cataracts and may have trouble seeing.

That’s a great idea. Thank you. We have started a Poultry Cell or Nutridrench regiment. We’ve been using the one that has a dropper even though I purchased both. She isn’t shaking when holding her, but when you put her down, she looks like she is trying to tap dance, wings up and all 😢
