Hi! I have month old chicks, two Buff Orpingtons and two Easter Egger Bantams. Yesterday I noticed that the Buff Orpingtons had very red wattles for 4 weeks. The Easter Eggers have combs that I can’t quite tell what kind at this point, but I was hoping that someone else maybe could. I got them from My Pet Chicken on September 21st. They were supposed to all be female, so hoping that’s still true.

Hi again! I am posting pictures again to see if anyone has more opinions. We think that the white and grey one (“Blue/Blue Eagle”) is a rooster, but I’m wondering if any others are? :fl They are about 8 1/2 weeks (about 2 months) old. Thank you in advance!

#2 is the suspected rooster and is a Bantam Easter Egger
#3 is a Buff Orpington

#1, #3, and #4 all look like girls. I think #2 is a boy, but it's really hard to tell much from those pictures. Could you take some more in full daylight, showing his whole body?

Agreed! #1 has female feather pattern, so if you could take a body shot of #2 in the light that would be helpful. The reddish brown feathering on the closeup pic could be cockerel, but the only way to know for sure is to see the whole body!

Hi again! Here are some photos of the chicks. The suspected rooster is the grey/red/white one and had been observed mounting the brown/white one, so he’s probably a rooster, but there’s a picture of him. The big buff is giant compared to even the other buff (and she’s not a bantam.) Does that mean that she’s a rooster? The brown/white chick had developed pointy tail feathers that sort of curve. Is she a rooster? I really hope she’s not a rooster because she is my favorite. Thank you in advance!
