How many ducks do you have and how much would you guess you pay in feed per month?

Ultimately I think this may be the deciding factor in how large a flock we can have.

And are there other expenses you never guessed you would have? Duck sitters for example if you travel.

3 geese
6 ducks
1 guinea

1 bag of flock raiser every month about 15 right now. It was 13 earlier in the year.

Thanks. I just thought that it might lead them to consume less "feed" if they were out eating bugs all day. Thanks again.

i have a flock of 7 calls.
a 50# bag of flock raiser lasts about 3 months.

its mixed with cracked corn
1/4 corn to 3/4 pellets

the chickens are also fed the pellets. but very little. maybe 1/18th of the bag.

im sure since it is winter their eating will go up.
& mine do not free range

oh yea and its $18 per bag .

i also started mixing in some horse feed (sweet feed) with it to make it go further.

A 50 lb bag of Nutrena Flock Raiser lasts 1 week here! LOL

16-17 guineas, 8 call ducks, 3 runners, 3 crested swedish, and 2 rouen mix hens.

The guineas only get corn since they are the only ones that eat it.

60 ducks
12 geese
50lbs of Lay pellets $12.09 (and a few other things) usually lasts 3 days

So about $120-$150 a month

This is at my house, On the other place we have about the same amount of birds and lasts about the same amount of time.
