One of my baby chicks just died :(

I started out with 4 baby chicks, and and now i have 3. I am so sad!

Their names were Cleo, Bluebell, Beyonce, and Daisy. Daisy was the one who died. she died because of a visit from a fox. daisy was so sweet and fluffy, I just can't bear not having her. even after praying that she would have a happy life in heaven, it still makes me want to cry. I also made sure that the brooder box was predator proof afterwards. but Daisy also had friends too. she was best friends with Beyonce and she would sleep with her every night. now Beyonce just looks at me like, "Where's daisy?" and i just makes me sick. Is anyone else experiencing this? if so, let me know.

I am new to having chickens and my 4 chicks will be 3 weeks old on the 14th they are also living in a brooder that is located in my room, so I can say that I have never had a chick killed by a fox, but I can say that I am really really sorry for the loss of Daisy, may Daisy live the rest of her days happily in a fox free heaven

Sorry for your loss...with that said, how did a fox get to your brooder box...where is it located?
