One of my Buff Orp hens pecks my boots or leg, then squats!!!

I put two bantam cochin roos (one barred and one gold laced) in with my 43 LF girls today. They were depressed at being separated from their family group, but I think they will get used to their new job soon.

I hope this will help with my pecking hen.

Thank you for all the responses!

Edited to add: Ok, by the next day they were just too depressed still- I put the two banty roos back in with the other bantams. No roo for the BOs.

Well, not usually all at once, thank goodness! Three or four will tug on my skirt, untie my bootlaces, peck my legs, etc... when I run them off, some more amble up! I usually just scoop up the pushiest ones and carry them around.

I'm tough to roosters, but the hens are my precious little egg machines and I never do anything to upset their delicate, delicate little feelings.

Those precious little ones know exactly how important they are, I think!
