One of my chickens brow part of her beak

One of my chickens beak broke yesterday evening and I just want to know if it will grow back or if I need to take her to the vet

Does the covering seem to be just scraped off, and the tip broken off, or does any of the beak feel fractured? Beak injuries are usually caused by wire fencing and chicken wire, or fighting, and can be very painful for a few days. Make sure that she takes water, and electrolytes and vitamins for a couple of days would help. Also mix a little water in some of the food. Usually these types of beak injuries will heal and recover unless the beak is cracked or fractured. If the chicken is being bullied or pushed into the fencing, you may want to prevent that. Hopefully in a few days, it will feel better.
