One of my chicks is not growing

Well I have one that hatched small in the same brooder who is growing and doing fine. This chick hatched normal size and is not doing fine.

I am sorry your pea chick isn't thriving. I am sorry that I made a joke about maybe you having the first miniature peacock.
I think trudigale had some good ideas about separating the chick along with a buddy so that you
can keep a close eye on him/her.
We have 12 chicks in a brooder right now and I forgot how pea chicks stomp all over each other when some are trying to nap, one will
just come over and walk right on the resting chick. It seems like it would be very stressful for babies. We had them in a smaller brooder
we moved them to larger one with more than one heat source to reduce the stress.

Good luck and keep us all updated.

It sounds like failure to thrive. Can you post a pic of the small chick next to one of the other chicks? I would like to see just how much of a size difference is between them.

I've never experienced failure to thrive in birds but we had it had it happen in a goat and I've seen it in sheep.
