One of my drakes is limping and I am not 100% sure why.

I am not sure if he has bumblefoot or if he has an injury. He started limping about 3 days ago. It is his right foot. We have been spraying it with Poultry+Aid from TSC twice daily and this evening we also gave him an epson salt foot soak - lasted about 20 seconds.

The ducks are outside during the day and brought indoors at night by the way.

Not sure what else to add. Hope someone can provide some insight. Thanks.

How do the toes look compared to the other foot? More swollen or about the same? Might be a sprain - those can take days to heal. But an Epsom salt compress twice a day (yes, it can be a challenge) followed with some ointment that has comfrey and-or arnica in it - just a tiny dab rubbed into the foot and leg - is what I would do.

Thanks for replying Amiga,

I will try to get some photos of his left foot for comparison as the back toe-nail (pinky??) does look different - i didnt get that leg photoed as he was getting a bit stressed out (probably also just wanted to get to sleep.)

Is there a particular brand of ointment that you can point me to that I can find either at TSC or might be on Amazon?

Thanks

Edit: did a Google search re Comfrey ointment and with the Arnica ointment. I can get both via Amazon - think I will go with the Arnica ointment.
