I am raising my first flock of girls and everything has been going great. I have 8 Buff Orphingtons that are about 8 weeks old. I’ve notices that one of them is different from the others. She seems to grow faster, she is a different color (darker almost brown), and she has an extreme personality. She is much more vocal, a bit of a bully and an attention hog. If I’m holding one of the other girls she always wants in on the action but if not she want’s nothing to do with jumping up in my lap. In my research I learned that “most” BO’s tend to all look alike so I’m wondering, did I get a roo maybe or is this normal? I’ve attached a few pics, Berta is the special one…

Thanks people for the comments. Sounds like a case of switched at birth which I can live with. I live in farm area but I really don't want roosters waking my neighbor up everyday. I'm really just in it for the eggs. lol My dog is great with the girls, I've had her around them since the day we brought them home. We have coyotes in my area so I'm hoping Riley (the dog) will hang with the girls while they free range around the property. She was laying down when the chick/pullet jumped up on her back then she stood up but neither one seemed to care much. Thanks again for the comments. BYC has been one of my best resources for this project and I'm really enjoying it.....
