One of my grocery store eggs is pipping! UPDATED MORE pics

Okay -- the great experiment! I stuck 2 doz. minus one store bought eggs in a homemade incubator to see if they MIGHT hatch -- The one I checked to see if it was fertile -- and today, there's a PIP in one egg!!! Wow. I'll let you know what else happens.

Please tell us where you got them and what brand/color.. My bator just got put up for the year.. but now you have me curious.. LOL

I bought them at my natural foods co-op. Baby is too gummy/stressed to subject to pictures -- he didn't have an easy hatch. If he makes it to "fluffy" I'll surely get pics posted! The brand was "Free Roaming Natural Choice Eggs". They were produced by Braswell Foods in Nashville, NC. The box is labelled "Certified humane. Meets the humane animal standards blah blah blah AND THE ABILITY TO ENGAGE IN NATURAL BEHAVIORS", which, for my chickens is, doing the fertilized egg thing. I broke one, it had a blastoderm, so I stuck my $5 worth of eggs in my 'bator. Think STRONG thoughts for the little guy!
