One of my grocery store eggs is pipping! UPDATED MORE pics

OMGEEEEZ! I cant wait for an update! Man this sure is a story to tell.. Mygrandma is going to freak.

Congrats!!!

I did the same thing but, sadly, mine grew to hatching size and then died in the shell before pipping. You're really lucky!!

Here are the first pics, taken this morning...

Another shot

He's getting stronger, opening his eyes, lifting his head, and floundering around. Looks very buff. You can see the egg colors in the photo -- shades of brown.

ETA: He was too big for his shell, started pipping a day early for the hatch, was stuck to the membrane, etc. etc. He had to suffer cleaning with a wet Q-tip to keep him from sticking to the screen in the hatcher. I finally added a piece of shelf liner to let him be a little more comfortable -- his little uncoordinated toes were hanging up in the wire screen.

Wow, that little guy is cute! He doesn't look too healthy, like you said. I hope he/she makes it!

Keeping fingers crossed too. He's having a slow start, but don't give up. Hopefully, opening the bator to help him hasn't caused problems for the other eggs.

Wow, this is insane I never thought that an egg could ever hatch after being in a refrigerator at a store. Keep us updated. I cant wait to see if others hatch.

Wow,
I just subscribed to this post- can't wait to hear. If it works, my daughter is going to make me incubate store eggs just in case.

Bump... How's he doing?

(Have we arbitrarily decided it's a "he" or is there some sign?)
