Yes, as you read in the title, I know it sounds a tad ridiculous but... I don't know how else to put it.

Our little girl Pumpkin sometimes screams (like, full on screams!) whenever me or my father leaves the house. I'm wondering why she does this. Is she worried? Does she think we are danger? Can she just not contain her excitement that we are going to see her? Anyway. She is my favourite chicken and she is super super sweet. She lets me pick her up and pet her and she falls asleep in my arms sometimes. Adorable.
Please help out and let me know

Yes, sometimes. But because she is small she doesnt get as much of the spoils as our bigger hens

One of my Barred Rocks, will be 2 years old next Saturday does nearly the same thing whenever I go out the back door, she just squawks at a moderate level. More like come over to see me, please, and give me a treat.

Mine does the same. If she sees me in the window she starts up again until something distracts her or she loses interest
