I've had 11 roosters and 6 hens for about 4 months now, and one of the roosters keeps following me and comes down to the cabin when he sees me come out. He will dance around my feet, scratch the ground and get down on his belly. He doesn't want to be picked up and will try to bite me. I call him Jake and try to talk to him.

Yes my Most of my roosters do a little dance around my hen before they mate
Some have danced more elaborate than others. I had one who was just hilarious. But yeah I think he’s taking a special liking to you. Why? Maybe just not enough ladies to share idk so he found the most important one at the house

He thinks You should feel honored though
Unless they split up that does seem like a lot of roosters versus hens so that could end up bad and who knows it could be because there’s not enough ladies. But he’s young. He’ll figure out things I’m sure. Like you know different species

I would expect this rooster to get aggressive towards you. He is not respecting your space. This is the darling stage with roosters. Their approach to you looks like friendliness to inexperienced people, but it is a lack of fear and respect. It can rapidly turn into human aggression.

Be very careful and completely aware around this rooster, it would not be uncommon for him to sneak around behind you and attack. Inexperienced people often vastly underestimate the violence of a rooster attack.

11 roosters and 6 hens is going to cause a lot of problems too. Do watch your pullets carefully, that many roosters will begin to abuse that few of pullets in the near future. They could even kill some of the pullets.
