We got some one year old hens - this one is the sweetest, calmest( however also most talkative) hens we have had- she just stands nice and still for my four year old to come and pick her up, and will sit in her arms as long as my four year old wants, and then when my DD does set her back down, she just stays put and waits to be picked up again. If any of my kids do sit down, she is right up in their lap- anyway
I love this bird
She does keep trying to roost in trees at night instead of going to her coop, and she has yet to lay an egg ( we have had her two weeks) but we just love her

What a doll!!! None of my girls are that good with my little kids. I have to catch them and then they will submit to being "loved on" by my 3 year old:D

Sure wish we had one that was so nice!!! Congrats!!!

I had to google dominique- I was calling her a barred rock
Thank you for the info! My DD calls her Dancing Snowflakes in the Moonlight
Now I know what my favorite hen really is- thank you!

What a cutie...both of the girls there

She might be hiding her eggs somewhere, especially since she keeps trying to sleep in the trees. Eggs or no eggs, you have a keeper there!
