So... I picked up a 12 pack of nuggets recently lol. They were all Barred Rocks, straight run. When picking them out I saw one in the brooder that had feathered legs. Obviously Barred Rocks don't have feathered legs so I thought I'd give it a shot to see what it was. Now at 15 days old she (hopefully) has curly wing feathers. She looks like her "siblings" except for the curls and leg feathers. Any thoughts, maybe a Cochin daddy, maybe someone had the frizzle gene? That's what comes to my mind, what about you guys?

Also, any thoughts on the sex? Here's a pic of the head spot.

I think I have read that a white spot means female, a yellow spot means male. It's not unusual for a chicks to come out frizzled but feather legged means it had something besides barred rock for a daddy!

I'm just as puzzled as you, and I would really love to hear how it turns out when it's grown. Show pictures.
