Not quite sure why,,,my one favorite hen keeps attacking the the older chicks. She seems to be obsessed with them and wants to kill them. I am slowly introducing them into flock with them into dog crate in hen house, and now I have built a hutch/ panic room for when there alilttle bigger to defend them selves...Other hens (3) dont seem bothered by them. Any ideas with my 1 non-accepting hen?? I currently have 4 hens that are 1 yrs old and 5....3 month olds:/
Any advise would be great..thank you

Does she have a history of being aggressive?

every time she does it, I'd pick her up and either stick her in a dog crate for a while or walk around with her for a while, just like a rooster. Not sure if I'm correct as I'm pretty new to all this, learning as I go along.........I'd also put a lot of distractions her way.....scratch, grass (if they don't free range and if they don't I would consider it) turnip greens. If she persists, I'd keep her confined for longer periods.....surely she'll gey the nessage
