I have a one bobwhite quail who is about four week old and im not sure if it should go outside in a chicken coop yet. It's also turning cold at night. It's about eighty degrees during the day and 50 or less during the night. He is a cardboard box still. Is he ready to move? Please answer right away thank you

Are you planning on housing it with your chickens and how is your coop set up? I'm thinking, if you don't have a covered run or if it can slip through the fence, it'll be gone. My quail were very good flyers and they're hard to get back if they manage to escape!

I don't have any chickens. I found out he was a male today by the noises he was making. I want to get another quail to house him with but I'm not sure if male or female would be better. Also he's sort of tame, and has never been outside in his life.
