That's really cute and yes, I agree that a chicken can be trained solely by imprinting on their human flock-leader. In this video, it appears that the chicken is anticipating what is about to happen. Go to bed, means the lights are about to be turned off and a chicken needs to be where she's gonna be for the night once the lights go out. I don't know about the lieing down part though. I'm not sure if the chicken is following verbal commands or if it's a mixture of that and knowing what's next.

This is the first time I have seen this non food related behavior. I can do this now at any time of day and she still follows the command. Not just at night ...and I have stopped turning the lights out. Very interesting for sure.
